The Geometry students just finished a chapter where they were learning about Transformations. As part of a project reviewing the chapter, they made Frieze Patterns illustrating some of the transformations they learned. Here are some of their cool designs:

It is with much regret that this is Mrs. Luther's last day here at Baraga Area Schools. Mrs. Luther has earned a much deserved retirement and we wish her nothing but the best in her relaxed future. For all that she has done for the school, and most importantly the students, we thank her.

Baraga Area Schools had a perfect day in which to have the 2nd of our Feed America food distribution on Thursday, December 10th. We had a great turnout and with help from staff, board members, the girl's basketball team, Bob & Melissa Treadway, and all who helped out to make it a successful day.

Need to remember to do this in these trying times

Baraga Area Schools is proud to once again take part in the December Mobile Food Pantry. The event will take place on Thursday, Dec. 10th at 4 p.m., with registration beginning at 3:45 p.m., at the school. Please do not start lining up before 3:45 p.m., as we will be wrapping up the school day and all the extra traffic will make that more difficult than it already is. The mobile food pantry will provide a variety of foods to approximately 300 families. Although there will be no ID or income verification, each person/household must state that they meet the qualifications to receive food assistance. Please contact Tim Scott at 353-6661 if you have any questions

Don’t forget to bring your school-issued device back to school when you return. Bring the charger too!

On Monday, November 30th, Baraga Area Schools, in accordance with Governor Whitmer's rulings on suspension of in-person learning to reduce the spread of COVID-19, will be welcoming back students in grades PK-8. Students in grades 9-12 will remain remote until December 9th. Students of need (Special Education, limited internet, in need of meals), regardless of the grade they are in, are welcome to return as well, but please be sure to call and speak with the office so we can make the necessary arrangements.
The following week, on December 9th, students in grades 9-12 will resume their in-person learning.
Have a safe and happy break.

Baraga Area Schools would like to thank all that turned out to help in the food distribution yesterday. Bob and Melissa Treadeau, for showing up out of the blue to help with sign up and packing food boxes. The boys' and girls' basketball teams for helping to pack boxes and run the food to cars, and Larry's Market for their donation. All these things working together helped to serve 575 people in the area.

KBIC tutors Mrs. Westman and Ms. Jondreau are available for tutoring. Please contact via email to set up a session.
