PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT THERE WILL BE A PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING TITLE VI AT THE NEXT REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING OF THE BARAGA AREA SCHOOLS BOARD OF EDUCATION.

Today's Staff Shout Out goes out to Christa Peterson! Miss Peterson hit the ground running this year. She is teaching 2nd grade and loving it! She has such a calming presence that students appreciate each day. We are happy to have you in our Viking Family, Christa!
The Student Leadership Advisory Council of the Keweenaw is holding a book drive. This is organized by some of our own high school students who are members of SLACK. Please consider helping them out.

Mrs. Pinnow has done a phenomenal job stepping into the guidance counselor roll this year! She has worked so hard to get to know our students and our staff so she can be supportive and compassionate to everyone she encounters. We are so fortunate to have her in our Viking family! Thank you, Amber!
Doreen is bringing new fun and energy to our lunch room! She is new this year, but has such a warm personality that it feels like she has been here forever. The kids have enjoyed the new lunch ideas she has tried, and the salad bar is fresh and delicious. Thank you for feeding our Viking family and for doing it with a smile every day!
Upcoming Spirit Sale!
The 9th grade class will be selling Viking apparel starting on Wednesday this week. Big shout out to Homestead Graphics of Baraga for putting together these fun designs! More info, including an order form, will be coming home with PLES students later this week. If you'd like to order, contact a 9th grader or Mrs. Rinkinen! Sales will continue until March 24th.

Today's Staff Shout Out goes to Mrs. Lori Lindemann! Lori is the best elementary secretary! She always has a smile on her face and a kind word for those who need it. She also has a fantastic sense of humor! Thank you for all you do for Baraga students, Lori!
Stef Holley is an amazing part of our Viking Family! She does so many things for our students that it's hard to put into words just how much we value her. Thank you for always making sure our school looks and feels welcoming to all of our students and staff!
Attention Baraga Families: We have been alerted that several local families have received a call from a person stating to be affiliated with the school. The caller is asking for donations and states that if you donate your name will be added to a display, once the school meets their goal. The caller gives no details about what the donation is for and came from number 208-319-2385. This is NOT Baraga Schools. If you receive a call like this please hang up and do not give them any information. Please share this information with others.
Mr. Irizarry teaches a fun mix of math & science classes. He shows up every day with a smile and a positive outlook. Mr. Irizarry, thank you for all you do for our students at Baraga!
